The holidays are a unique time. They mark the end of summer and the beginning of fall colors and cooler breezes. Stores display their seasonal decorations and people sport their snuggest sweaters. While many of us look forward to cozy nights spent with loved ones, many are also reminded of their need during the holidays. Every year, Samaritan House reaches out to the neediest in our community to provide a traditional Holiday meal and a welcoming place for people to go.
Consider celebrating this Thanksgiving season by hosting a food drive. From turkey drizzled in hot gravy to steaming hot chocolate in chilled hands, you can bring holiday cheer into an individual’s or family’s life through food!
Thanksgiving Food Drives run in November, and items are accepted until Monday, November 25th. For specifics, please check the Holiday Thanksgiving Food Drive page for a list of items needed, or contact Associate Director of Volunteers and Engagement, Jenny Saba at [email protected] for volunteer inquiries.
