Our Holiday Program provides Halloween Costumes, Thanksgiving Meals, Holiday Food, Children's Coats and Toys.
Our Holiday Program runs throughout October, November and December. We want our clients and their families to share in the joy of the season without risking their financial security. Everyone deserves the opportunity to join with their neighbors and make lasting memories during this special time.
Thanksgiving Day Meal Services
We serve more than 1,000 hearty Thanksgiving meals across community centers, senior centers and to our home-bound Mobile Meals recipients. All are prepared with love through donated foods and volunteer support. Due to COVID-19, we are adapting our previously dine in service to a drive-thru distribution system.
Holiday Food Distributions
Samaritan House holds two large food distributions, one in November and one in December, so that our clients and their families can enjoy delicious food to celebrate the Holidays. Everything we give out is a donated item.
Family and Senior Sharing
Regrettably, we are unable to run the Family and Senior Sharing Program this season. Clients who normally benefit will receive services through our active Holiday Program activities. We warmly welcome you to participate with us in the programs above.
Halloween Costumes for Kids
Due to the closure of Kids Closet during October, our New Halloween costume Drives are on pause for 2020. Thank you for providing children with more than 650 new costumes last year. We look forward to continuing this tradition in the future as safety permits.
3,500 Children and teens served with new toys, coats, gifts and books last year.
