Adult Individual volunteers work across Samaritan House alongside our dedicated staff to provide unparalleled service to our clients and the community. The Volunteer Department takes care to match volunteers with opportunities that correspond with their interests and skill set.

Most of our volunteer shifts are Monday through Friday between 9am and 4pm. We have very limited weekend or evening opportunities. Check out the different opportunities below and apply to join us.
Volunteer Opportunities
Samaritan House requires a commitment of at least 3 months and does not offer one-time opportunities for individuals.
Volunteers can serve alone if they are 18 and older. Those aged 16 and 17, can serve in some programs unaccompanied, but need a parent signed permission slip.
Volunteers between 12 and 15 years old can volunteer in a limited number of programs only if accompanied by a parent at all times. To find out more about volunteering with younger children check out our Children, Youth and Family Volunteer pages.
