At Samaritan House, we believe that no family should have to face hunger, especially during the holidays. This season, we are calling on our community to help us provide one of the most essential components of holiday meals—protein. Many families in need rely on us to provide turkeys, hams, roast beef, and other nutritious proteins to enjoy the celebrations that bring us all together. However, this year, fellow nonprofits and food suppliers are facing severe shortages, making it even more challenging to meet the growing demand for protein throughout the holiday season and into the new year.
The Best Way You Can Help:
Monetary donations are the most impactful way to support our efforts. With your financial contribution, we can purchase protein and other nutritious foods at discounted rates, stretching every dollar further. By donating, you ensure that we can source exactly what’s needed to provide for the community—turkeys, chickens, hams, and more—while accommodating special dietary needs and cultural preferences. Your gift today means we can continue feeding families tomorrow.
Donate Today: Your donation is the fastest and most effective way to ensure families in need have protein for the holidays. Every dollar goes further thanks to our partnerships and bulk purchasing power.
Drop Off FROZEN Protein: If you’re able to donate frozen turkeys, chickens, hams, or roast beef, we are accepting these items immediately for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. The last day for Thanksgiving-specific donations is November 26, but we will continue accepting frozen protein through December 23rd for the Christmas and winter holiday season.
Join Us in the Fight Against Hunger: This holiday season, we invite you to be part of our community’s effort to fight hunger and support those in need. By donating or dropping off frozen protein, you help lift the burden of hunger for local families and bring hope to their holiday celebrations.
Thank you for your generosity and for making a difference in the lives of so many.
