We are proud to announce the winner of this year’s Dr. Cora Clemons Emerging Young Samaritan Award is Rianne Supie Mohammed. Rianne has shown exceptional leadership by creating meaningful, inclusive opportunities for youth in our community. In 2020, she co‑founded the Kids Hangout Club to help students stay socially connected during remote learning. The program was later adopted by the Belmont-Redwood Shores Opening Doors Special Education PTA and honored with both the California State PTA Honorary Service Award and the Golden Oak Service Award.
Recognizing continued need for in‑person support, Rianne founded Buddy Meetups in 2024, a free, one‑to‑one mentorship program pairing K–12 students with trained teen mentors. Adopted by Belmont Parks and Recreation in 2025, the program has already doubled in size and now draws students from across the Bay Area. Through her dedication, Rianne has helped young people build confidence, form friendships, and truly feel that they belong.
Her work exemplifies the dedication and passion our founder, Dr. Cora Clemons, brought to her work. We are excited to celebrate this young changemaker and look forward to seeing how she continues to lead change in our community and beyond.
