LIFT - Lifeline to Ignite Financial Transformation
The LIFT (Lifeline to Ignite Financial Transformation) Program by Samaritan House is an initiative aimed at empowering single parents in San Mateo County to achieve financial stability and self-sufficiency. This 24-month, privately funded program provides tailored case management, financial education, community referrals and a monthly stipend, so that single parents can pursue training and education to increase their earning potential. Through targeted support and personalized guidance, participants develop better financial habits, increase their income, build savings, and plan for long-term financial security.
“The gratitude I feel, knowing that somebody cares, knowing that I have the support — this program is bigger than me. I’m just very excited for my life.” – Maria, LIFT program participant
While not a guaranteed income program, LIFT focuses on equipping single parents with the tools and knowledge to break the cycle of poverty and achieve economic mobility, while addressing the region’s income inequality.
The program’s emphasis on education and skill-building is key to fostering lasting change, helping these families create sustainable financial futures.
LIFT program's ultimate goal is to empower participants to achieve financial stability and create a foundation for generational wealth, breaking the cycle of poverty for these families.
By donating to the LIFT program, you’re not just investing in financial relief—you’re investing in the future of single parents and their children, empowering them to rise out of poverty and achieve their dreams.
