The Kids Closet is our free kids’ clothing store. Volunteers help to selectively accept and sort donations to find good kids’ clothes, stock the rails and help our clients in the store. Groups are welcome to take a shift each week with volunteers serving on a rotating basis.
We are working to increase the hours that the store is open to better serve our clients. By the end of 2016, we aim to get the store open Monday through Friday between 9am – 12 and 12 – 3pm. We are starting to look for volunteers for a new shift on Tuesdays between 9am – 12 and anticipate starting this in mid to late September.
Prepare food in the Kitchen or give out groceries in the Pantry, or sign up to do both. Shifts are Monday through Friday from 9am – 12 and 1 – 4pm. Help prepare the more than 600 meals a day and pack the more than 12,000 bags of groceries we give out every year. (Apply Here)

Samaritan House welcomes corporate, church and community groups. Projects usually last 2-3 hours and go from serving meals at our dining room, to job skills training at our Safe Harbor Shelter. We need groups to bring some entertainment to our 90-plus shelter residents, by running bingo nights, karaoke parties, arts and crafts projects, musical evenings, weekend BBQs, and a whole host of other fun things.
