The main goal of the Worker Resource Center is to give workers an alternative to congregating on the streets to seek work and to offer them a safe environment to obtain employment. While at the Center, workers can attend English as a Second Language classes given by volunteer instructors. We are not an employment agency and our services are free of charge. We charge no commission to the workers and no fees to the employers.
There are two simple ways to hire one of the workers:
- You can come to the office at the time you need a worker 7 days a week.
- If you want a person who has already worked with you, give us their name, and we’ll contact the worker or give you their contact information.
We have experienced workers in:
And other skills
The minimum wage for any work negotiated through the center is $17/hr.
Higher minimum wages of $18+/hour apply for hard or skilled labor.
If the job is three hours or less, there will be a minimum fee of $51.
