Fighting poverty. Lifting lives.

That’s what we do every day. And now, it’s represented by our new tagline and logo.
Today, our impact is greater, our services more comprehensive. Our new tagline embodies the truth of what is at the core of Samaritan House and is a reflection of where we are and where we are headed.
More than a new look, it’s a rallying cry that encourages everyone to join together to fight poverty and lift the lives of San Mateo County’s working poor. As the leading anti-poverty organization on the Peninsula, we are committed to improving lives, promoting self-reliance, and preserving dignity.

We lead the fight against poverty by providing a full range of essential services – food, shelter, clothing and healthcare – to the working poor in our communities. The support of our partners, donors and volunteers makes this possible.

Moving forward: Leading the transformation

Our visionary thinking and proactive outreach are building awareness of the challenges faced by the working poor. Rather than surviving crisis to crisis, our whole-person approach creates a lasting life plan.

With you, we can evolve together and maximize our impact on what matters most for our community — our shared humanity.

Thank you for your continued support.
