En 1974, la Dra. Cora Clemons, trabajadora social, defensora de las escuelas p\u00fablicas y una verdadera innovadora, comenz\u00f3 a distribuir alimentos desde su casa en el centro-norte de San Mateo. De ese acto de innovaci\u00f3n y bondad naci\u00f3 Samaritan House. Para honrar su legado de transformaci\u00f3n en el condado de San Mateo, Samaritan House cre\u00f3 el Premio Dra. Cora Clemons al Joven Samaritano Emergente. Cada a\u00f1o, buscamos reconocer a un joven de nuestro condado que sigue los pasos de nuestra fundadora.<\/p>

Nos enorgullece anunciar que el ganador de este a\u00f1o del Premio Dr. Cora Clemons al Joven Samaritano Emergente es Ethan Hua. Ethan es un estudiante de secundaria local que fund\u00f3 su propia organizaci\u00f3n sin fines de lucro, el Programa de Uniformes HOPE. Este programa proporciona uniformes gratuitos a todos los estudiantes que los necesitan. Se ha asociado con escuelas y organizaciones locales, incluyendo Kids Closet de Samaritan House, para hacer realidad su visi\u00f3n.<\/p>
